About the Busy Witch
In 1997, my Dad (step-dad) bought our very first computer. If Dad had only known the headaches and aggrivation that one little computer would create, I am certain he would never have brought it home. Needless to say, I took to that computer like a duck takes to water. :o)
Looking back, I would have to say that I have always had a love for websites. From the very first MSN Group (you remember those, right?) that I joined, I became interested in graphics and how to use them to decorate websites. When I became frustrated with the lack of creative freedom that came with working with an MSN Group, I moved on to GeoCities.
In 2005, my husband (Edward) purchased a domain name for me as a gift and At Home with Arista was born. Ever since then, I have developed a passion for domain names and I jokingly refer to it as a "fetish". While some women love an excellent pair of pumps or an awesome handbag, I prefer a great domain name.
Why "the busy witch"? Naturally, the witch part is a given, because I am Pagan. However, the Busy Witch was born from a comment my husband made one day when he came home from work and we were discussing our day. Along with the rest of the days activities (you SAHWs and WAHWs know what I am talking about), I had gotten 3 websites online that day. Edward's responce was... "well, aren't you a busy witch". A few days later, a simuliar situation came up and Edward's responce was... "the busy witch rides again"... lol. So, the Busy Witch was born.
The Busy Witch is more or less my online base of operations. It is where I try to keep friends posted on what I am currently working on or have recently finished. It has only been here lately that I have gotten the feeling that I need to allow The Busy Witch to grow, just as I do.
What does the future hold in store for the Busy Witch? The future is never set in stone. As each new day dawns, there is a new adventure just waiting to unfold. We should embrace each day as if it were our last.
Staria... The Busy Witch
